surgeries to the patient including cataract surgeries particularly pnco-emulsification,
glaucoma surgeries, keratoplasty and oculoplasty. However we are lagging
behind in vitreo-retinal services.
Phacoemulsification: This is a type of cataract surgery in which the
cataract is emulsified and sucked with an ultrasound machine through a
2-3 mm opening made in the eye.
Main advantage of this surgery are early visual recovery, use batter
quality foldable lenses, little or no post operative constrains,
immediate discharge from hospital after surgery and immediate or early
return on work.
